The Productivity Institute Annual Review 2021-22

The Productivity Institute’s review of its second year, from 2021-22, is now available. The Institute has made great strides in its mission to lay the foundations for an era of sustained and inclusive productivity growth over the past year, with work underway in all research portfolios, within the eight Regional Productivity Forums and the Productivity Commission. We are grateful for the fantastic work and support from all our affiliated researchers, partner institutions, and business leaders, Regional Productivity Forum chairs and members, our support team based at Alliance Manchester Business School; and our funder, the Economic and Social Research Council.

The review has forewords from Governing Council chair Dame Kate Barker; Advisory Committee chair Tera Allas; Managing Director Bart van Ark; Research Director Tony Venables; and Engagement and Impact Director Nicola Pike. It provides an overview of TPI’s research activity over the past year as well as highlights of practitioner and policy engagement, the eight Regional Productivity Forums, the Productivity Commission and the Productivity Puzzles podcast series.
