Professor Richard Allmendinger

Professor of Applied Artificial Intelligence at the University of Manchester

Career

Richard’s research interests are in the field of data science and, in particular, in the development and application of computational optimisation and machine learning techniques to real-world problems arising in areas such as healthcare, manufacturing, economics, sports, music, and forensics. He is a member of the editorial board of several international journals, and a Fellow of the Alan Turning Institute. In 2023, he was appointed to the advisory board of River Capital, the north of England’s first dedicated AI fund.
