The Scotland Productivity Forum is led by the University of Glasgow. It is involved in the implementation of research insights, the design of practical business and policy interventions, and in providing input to the development of the Institute’s future research agenda.
Members include stakeholders from policy, community and business leaders from local, national and multinational enterprises.
The Scotland Forum is using a new ‘research in practice’ model where researchers work directly with policymakers, businesses and communities to tackle Scotland’s productivity challenges.
The Forum runs three programmes focusing on high-value industries, regional economies and public services. Its approach uses a three-part framework covering technology adoption, workplace innovation and sustainability. The framework recognises that productivity should serve social goals as well as economic ones.
