Career

Stephen Roper’s main research interests are in innovation, enterprise growth and development, regional development, and industrial policy evaluation. He is Director of the ESRC-funded Enterprise Research Centre which conducts policy relevant research on SME growth and development and a Co-Director of the National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise. Stephen has consulted on aspects of innovation and enterprise policy for a wide range of government agencies and the OECD.
