JP Spencer has over a decade of experience working across economic policy and strategy in both the public and private sectors. In particular he has specialised in issues around economic policy, public finance, regional economics and devolution.
Alongside his role as a Policy Fellow at The Productivity Institute’s Policy Unit, he is currently the Director of Devolution Policy at Labour Together, where he has published research on the geography of growth spending across different areas and how more powers should be devolved. He has held previous roles at HM Treasury, HM Revenue & Customs, Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Metro Dynamics.
