Working closely with policymakers

We’re a UK-wide research organisation exploring what productivity means for business

Businesses are crucial to solving the UK’s productivity problems.

Office for National Statistics – Productivity User Event

Hosted by the ONS, the forum will be an opportunity to gather ideas and discuss the ONS productivity measures. These include output per hour, output per job and output per worker for the whole economy and a range of industries; productivity in the public services; multi-factor productivity and unit labour costs.

In this forum, we’ll hear from Managing Director of the Productivity Institute and Professor of Productivity Studies, Bart Van Ark. We are delighted to also be joined with experts and representatives from key-stakeholder organisations as they advise on the ONS’ journey towards new development opportunities. You will also hear about the work accomplished over the past few years, the benefits derived from timely and diverse productivity data. Given the high importance we attribute to users’ inputs we ask participants to come to the forum with a collaborative approach.
