Office for National Statistics Economic Forum

The ONS’ monthly economic forum showcases the latest economic and social developments with a wide range of analytic topics. Each month we will feature ‘State of the Economy’, providing a stocktake of the latest trends and developments.

Presentations this month include:

  • Environmentally-adjusted productivity estimates for the UK – Does adjusting for environmental inputs and outputs help to explain the ‘productivity puzzle’? Does it change our understanding of productivity growth in the UK? We will showcase a range of ONS data and possible methods to adjust productivity statistics for environmental factors, including energy use, atmospheric emissions, and environmental protection expenditures.
  • Transition to Net Zero: Deep dive into the Low Emissions Vehicles (LEV) sector
    There will be an opportunity for participants to join a Q & A session at the end of the presentations.
