Can greening the economy drive productivity?

Professors Bart van Ark and Elvira Uyarra join a panel discussion including two industry experts at the Manchester Festival of Climate Action on the topic Can greening the economy drive productivity?

As we recover from the financial impact of COVID-19, how can businesses afford the investment required to make the changes needed? What does a long-term strategy look like, and what’s realistic? Professor Bart van Ark and Dr Elvira Uyarra will be joined by two industry spokespeople to discuss the challenges facing businesses as we forge our net zero future.

Sharing their insight and industry experience they will consider: What are the next steps that business leaders need to take? How can businesses find the investment, and reconcile the cost on their bottom line? How do you prioritise greening spend as your business pivots post-COVID-19? What are the potential impacts, positive and negative, on productivity from making green investment?

This event is on Day 3 of the festival which has the them of “Finance”.
